Back to School Tips!

by Jacob O'Connell, Photo Editor

With the back to school season approaching very fast we thought it would be a good idea to write a post about preparing for the 09-10 school year. A lot has changed this year, in terms of classes and whats required of you in class--so its especially important that you are prepared. I'll start off with one VERY important tip, and that's to start getting back into a normal sleeping routine. Everyone has been staying up into the early morning (doing summer reading of course ;)) You don't want to fall asleep on the first day and miss everything, and you don't want to be tired during school.

School Supply List:
Three ring notebook – 3 inch
2 sets of Notebook Dividers
Note Book Paper Tip: You'll use a lot, having extra doesn't hurt.
Pens (blue or black)
Pencils Tip: Use Mechanical Pencils, They'll last longer, and you'll never have to sharpen them.
Pencil Pouch for Binder
5 Folders
Scientific Calculator Tip: Battery Powered is better!
Highlighters
12 inch Ruler
Lots of 3x5 index cards (even if you don't like them)
Lots of Notebooks

Suggested Supplies for Home:
3-Hole Punch that fits in binder
Pocket Dictionary
Scissors
Color Pencils

The list is pretty generic, a lot of teachers will have their own requests on the first couple of days.

Remember what Fonzie was like? Cool. That's how we're gonna be -- cool. Critical is fine, but if you're rude, we'll delete your stuff. Have fun and thanks for adding to the conversation!
